How many passengers can you hold?
We are US Coast Guard Certified to hold up to 80 passengers.

Do you have comfortable seating?
Yes. All of our 62 seats are covered with comfortable foam cushions.

Do you have restrooms on-board?
Yes. We have separate men’s and women’s restrooms.

Are the restrooms easily accessible?
Yes. Unlike many charter vessels, both of or restrooms are located on the same level as the deck space. No walking down stairs.

Is the Charleston Explorer stable?
Yes. Our low profile and twin hulls make the Charleston Explorer an extremely stable vessel.

Where do you depart from?
Our departure sites very depending on the needs of the Customer. However, our shallow draft allows us to pick you up at just about any floating dock.

Where do you go?
You are welcome to point us in any direction you like. Otherwise, we will take you on one of our favorite routes where you will see the Historic Charleston Waterfront, Civil War Forts and other historic sites. Along with other points of interest, we will be searching for pods of dolphin and other wildlife.

Are you handicap accessible?
We are “wheel chair friendly,” our boat design does not allow us to be deemed fully accessible. However, we can accommodate wheel chairs and our one level floor plan and low rails allows for easy access and easy views of the water and sites.

What happens if it rains?
It’s important when planning an event that it doesn’t get ruined due to inclement weather. For that reason, the Charleston Explorer is fully covered from the rain as well as the scorching sun.

What if it’s windy?
The Charleston Explorer is equipped with side curtains that can be dropped to protect you from cool winds or sideways rain.

What if it’s cold?
In the colder months we provide a heater on board.

What happens during stormy weather?
If the Captain decides it is unsafe to depart due to severe weather, you will be allowed to reschedule, wait for the bad weather to pass, or receive a full refund.

Do you offer trips all year round?
Yes. Having the ability to drop the curtains and offer heat makes trips in the cooler months nice and warm on the boat.

Can you go to the beach?
Yes. The Charleston Explorer is capable of landing directly on the beach for easy loading and unloading. Perfect for beach parties!

Do you have catering options?
Yes. We work with a number of different caterers and allow you to choose your own.

Do you have alcohol available?
Yes. We offer number of different bar options.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Feel free to bring whatever you like. We will set up a table and provide ice. No galley fee charges will ever apply!

Do you have music on board?
Yes. We are happy to provide music. However, you are welcome to use our i-pod connection, CD player or satellite radio and enjoy your own music through our dynamic sound system.

Do you have a P.A. system for lectures and guided history tours?
Yes. We have a permanent system installed.

Do you ever see any wildlife or historic sites?
Yes. Historic sites are everywhere and dolphins are most always plentiful.

Are you insured?
Yes. Additionally our USCG Licensed Captains and fully trained and certified Crew will ensure a safe and memorable experience.
